Public Sector Conference brand

We were charged with developing an identity and a full range of print and web solutions for the 2013 Public Sector Conference, which celebrated the centenary of the public service in New Zealand.

The feel was professional, but friendly. It couldn’t engage the colours of politics as it needed to be as open as possible.

Yeseva One was selected as the lead font, as its friendly serif conveyed the right tone. Gil Sans as H1 and Lucida Sans as body added an air of stability to the font choices.

The palette of baby blue and tan was chosen as it reflected both Spring, and had no relationship to any political parties.

The imagery was all taken from the National Library’s photographic archives of public sector work through the years-harking back to the centenary.

A full range of collateral was made; lanyards, programmes, PowerPoint presentations, adverts and the website.
